In all my years of yo-yo dieting, never has a big mac been on the menu.  With the keto lifestyle, there is still a way to enjoy all the hamburgers you crave.  Of course you can go through fast food restaurants and just toss the bun.  However, if you are particular on ingredients you may prefer to make your own.  The family loves this pizza version and luckily it is rather simple to do.  It serves many and reheats in the oven well for leftovers.

Start with your favorite keto crust.  I really like a fat head dough.  This is my preferred recipe for dough I use in pizza, bagels and pastries.

For the pizza dough, I like to add in Italian seasonings.  Maybe a little Parmesan.

Just spray a pizza pan with Pam or coat with butter to keep from sticking.  Then pat the dough into the shape of the pan using wax paper to keep it from sticking to your hands.  Then place in the oven at 425 degrees for approximately 10 minutes.

While the dough is in the over, brown your hamburger.  You can add any seasonings you want here.  In general, usually a little onion and garlic.  Or toss in a ranch pack of seasoning.

The pizza crust can be removed as soon as it starts to brown.  It will puff up a little with air.

Then layer your pizza with hamburger ingredients like you would any pizza.  I start with tarter sauce.  I know it sounds out of place, but you have to trust me on this.  You could make your own keto version with just mayo, relish, etc.  Or buy a favorite low carb variety.

Then add hamburger.

Followed by shredded lettuce.

Yay for pickles like pepperoni!

Smother in cheese.

Then bake in the over until cheese is melted and serve.
